In LED light source range, from the side of light, electricity, heat, reliability, service life and price, etc, there is a comparison between LED MR16-D and GU10 LED Light
1. There is no difference in optical part basically. They all composed of LED and lens or LED and reflector (or add lens).
2. They are very different in circuit driver. MR16 is 12 V input, while GU10 LED Light is available in 230 V or 120 V (110 V) then switched into aluminum plate, so the design of the driver is different. Some companies use AC LED so the driver design is easier. From other side, MR16 need to connect the transformer before connecting to the circuit. From 220v to 12V, we should consider that whether LED MR16 can attach the transformer or not, or whether they can stable work without blinking or not. But the GU10 LED lights can connect to the power directly, which is simple than MR16 LED bulbs. Generally speaking, the circuit design of GU10 LED light is simpler than the MR 16 bulbs.
3. Heat Dissipation. According to the IEC regulations, GU10 LED light is longer than MR16, so it is good at heat dissipation. Some companies use fans in MR16 LED bulbs to strengthen heat dissipation. (Such as Philips 7 W and 10 W MR16 LED bulbs).
4. Price: GU10 LED lights cost less than MR16 LED bulbs.
