Most of T8 LED tube light on the market today can not just be directly installed in an existing fluorescent fixture. You need to make some simple modifications to the fixture to properly install the bulbs. But installing our LED tube light in an existing fluorescent fixture is relatively simple.
1. Take out the ballast and starter if so equipped (disconnect the wires and either leave the ballast in place or remove it).
2. After disconnecting the ballast, reconnect the circuit. There are two sets of wires that connect to each bulb, only one set is needed to be connected to the respective positive and negative wires into the driver (transformer). Connect the power supply "hot" and "cold" into the L & N points of the driver.
3. Install the T8 LED Tube into the existing fluorescent light fixture.
4. Inspect all wiring connections prior to turning on the power.
5. Turn on the AC power source.
6. If it is inductive ballast, you need to removed or disconnected the started. The other step is the same as above steps.
If you have done everything properly, you should have as good or better lighting using approximately half the electricity and lasting as long as 50,000 hours or more.
