LED Strip Lights are of light, thin, soft, lifespan,safe and other characters, so make a figure in architectural decorative lighting gradually.But LED Strip Lights is an emerging product, many customers haven't used it. Now let's share several installation method of LED Strip Lights .
1. Indoor installation: When the LED Strip Lights was used in indoor decoration,not meant to be exposed to outdoor elements , so it's easy to install. Every LED Strip Lights comes with 3M™mounting tape on the back , for the best long-term mounting solution,so during installation just rip the tape out and mount the LED Strip Lights virtually anywhere you want,then press it flat.But how to do when there is a corner or the LED Strip Lights is longer than needed? Take it easy, every 3-LEDs is a group in the series-parallel way, which can be cut and connected.
2.Outdoor installation: The LED Strip Lights meant to be exposed to outdoor elements outdoor , so it will fall of while the adhesiveness reduced , if we use the 3M™mounting tape . So we adopt the cove slot to mount the LED Strip Lights in outdoor installation, the operation is same to the indoor installation when there is a corner or need to cut , and we need waterproof glue, additionally,in order to consolidate the effect of watertight.
3. Method of power connection: Available in 12V DC Constant Voltage power source.,The flow of the power is according to the LED Strip Lights and the length of connection. If you do not want to use one driver in each LED Strip Lights, you can purchase one high-powered driver as main power,then all the LED Strip Lights were arranged in parallel connection (the length of wire rod can extend as you need),which all powered by the main driver. The advantage of the high-powered driver is good to centralized control,and the disadvantage is that can not make each LED Strip Lights bright alone. You can choose one method as you like.
4.Connection method of controller:The LED colorful hurricane lamp and RGB was controlled by the driver to make the color changed, however,the distance of the cdriver is different .Generally speaking, the led dimmable controller is capable of powering about 10m to 15m LED Strip Lights, and the remote one is capable of powering 15m to 20m LED Strip Lights,and the biggest capability is powering 30m LED Strip Lights. If the distance is long ,and the driver is not capable of powering that long , we need a power amplifier to tap the power.
5.Attention to the distance of the LED Strip Lights: Generally speaking, the longest connection distance of the 3528 LED Strip Lights is 20m ,the 5050 one is 15m. If the connection distance beyond ,the LED Strip Lights will be apt to fever, and make the service life of LED Strip Lights short. So when installation we need to follow the request of manufacturer , and avoid to make the LED Strip Lights overloaded by all means.
